Des Moines defends hotel incentives
The city of Des Moines says it can give out millions of dollars in financial incentives for a downtown hotel project and still come out ahead on the deal by about $10 million over a two-decade period.
Financial terms of a deal to bring a $32.3 million riverfront hotel development won initial City Council approval this month.

Normal seeks proposals for uptown building
NORMAL — The town has issued a formal request for proposals for
the former One Main site in uptown Normal.
Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Dec. 2.
The request is seeking a four- to six-story building with

Innkeepers, Cerberus/Chatham Reach New Deal on 64 Hotels
Innkeepers USA Trust reached an updated agreement with Cerberus Series Four Holdings LLC, Chatham Lodging Trust and others that clears the way for the sale of 64 Innkeepers hotels with 8,400 rooms to a Cerberus-Chatham joint venture for approximately $1.02 billion.
