Buffalo Lodging moves ahead with Latham extended-stay hotel project

A hotel construction project that had been delayed in Colonie will be moving forward this spring—a sign of the rebounding travel industry.
A 114-room TownePlace Suites will be built on Forts Ferry Road off Route 7, near the Latham Center shopping plaza at Exit 6 of the Northway.
“We’ve seen improvements in the economy that are certainly sufficient for opening new hotels,” said Ron Kendall, president of Buffalo Lodging
. “We’re hoping like everyone else we’ll continue to see improvement.”
Buffalo Lodging, a division of Benderson Development
, owns and operates 40 hotels, mostly on the East Coast.
